yep, and that’s why I left and am going to do everything I can to not return.

additionally, a good friend recently challenged my leadership qualities/activities because I have (amongst other things) given up on the American cause… if giving up on that country makes me less of a leader, then I accept my diminished role. that country and I have nothing in common any more. absolutely there are people there that I love, but not as much as I love not breathing in the toxicity that the US inflicted upon me.

Another good friend semi-recently took issue w my saying that everyone in the US basically doesn’t care enough… I understand why he took issue; I was on a high-horse rant.

But, if I were at a party (read: in a country) and the head(s) of the party (read: state) starting arresting/jailing/killing anyone who said their party (read: domestic, economic, political, social, military, and foreign policy) was pretty much shit in every way,… well, yeah, I’d still leave that party, and I wouldn’t understand the people who stayed.

I don’t think you are wrong for staying; I just can’t understand why you would.

I would like (President Obama) to go to the people of the United States of America and say ‘People of the Unites States of America: your Congress is bought. Your Congress is incapable of making legislation on healthcare, banking, trade or taxes because if they do it, they will lose their political funding, and they won’t do it. But I’m the President of the United States, and I won’t have a country that is run by a bought Congress!’

Straight away I thought, no problem… donor country to the United Nations, yep, as a US citizen, I probably qualify. Then I look at the list of donor countries

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE UNITED STATES!!!??? By the time I finish my PhD, if not already, I AM an expert in agricultural political economy, politics being key to pushing forward some cohesive world food policy, according to the UN special rapporteur on the right to food, Olivier De Schutter (I disagree btw. the problem isn’t entirely political OR entirely technical: past method. ITS BLOODY  BOTH!). I have internal and external technical and political knowledge of US, EU, and developing nation (specialising in India, South Africa, and Brazil) agriculture policy and problems.

BUT COME GRADUATION TIME WHEN I’M FACE DEEP IN US LOANS WILL THERE BE A JOB WHERE I CAN BOTH USE MY HIGHLY TECHNICAL, HIGHLY POLITICAL, HIGHLY SPECIALISED KNOWLEDGE, THUS GRANTING ME EXPERT STATUS, LEAVING ME ABLE TO REPAY MY DAMNED LOANS????

no. because the US is fucked beyond belief and apparently isn’t a UN DONOR COUNTRY!!!

the associate experts page says if i’m from a developing country Italy, the Netherlands, and soon Spain can sponsor me… and according to the South Centre, another org i would LOVE to work for, im not from a developing country…

i’d say with the sort of policy the US congress churns out… i’d disagree.

when will my world citizen passport arrive? and will it have a rainbow on the front?
