I’ve told my partner that I want to get a cricket bat and write ‘DIALECTICAL’ on it. That way when arguments of this nature are being made, I can wallop the individual with my Dialectical Stick.
If your unclear on what I mean by dialectical, Wikipedia does it best:
The purpose of the dialectic method of reasoning is resolution of disagreement through rational discussion, and, ultimately, the search for truth.[3][4] One way to proceed — the Socratic method — is to show that a given hypothesis (with other admissions) leads to a contradiction; thus, forcing the withdrawal of the hypothesis as a candidate for truth (see reductio ad absurdum).
This isn’t to say I don’t support Israel.
